Do I need a permit for remodel plumbing work?
Usually yes, once you are moving or adding fixtures rather than swapping one out in place. Requirements vary by parish and municipality. We handle permitting as part of the job and make sure the work passes inspection to Louisiana state plumbing code.
Can you move plumbing to suit a new kitchen or bath layout?
Yes. Relocating sinks, tubs, showers and toilets is routine remodel work. How involved it gets depends on your foundation and where the existing drain lines run, since drains need proper fall. We will tell you early which layout changes are straightforward and which get expensive.
Tankless or traditional water heater for a remodel?
Tankless units save space and deliver continuous hot water, but they cost more upfront and gas models often need a larger gas line and new venting. A conventional tank is cheaper to install and simpler to service. We size either option to your household's actual peak demand rather than guessing.
How long does the plumbing portion of a remodel take?
Plumbing usually happens in two visits: rough-in once walls are open, then finish work after surfaces go in. The gap between them depends on your overall build schedule. We coordinate around the rest of the trades so we are not the reason your project stalls.
Should I replace old pipes while the walls are open?
If you have galvanized supply lines or aging cast-iron drains, this is by far the cheapest opportunity you will ever get to replace them. Opening finished walls later costs far more than doing it now. We will assess what is behind your walls and give you a straight recommendation.
Do you work alongside my contractor or designer?
Regularly. We coordinate directly with general contractors, designers and other trades on scheduling and rough-in placement so fixtures land exactly where the plans call for them.
